Officials complete Fulton County primary counts

— The final tally of Republican primary votes is complete, and Gloversville Mayor Dayton King expanded his lead over his challenger to 29 votes.

Following absentee ballot counting Tuesday, initial results reported by the Fulton County Board of Elections put King’s lead at only 13 votes. The revised tally was made official Wednesday morning, according to the Board of Elections.

King held a 63-vote lead over Michael Ponticello when polls closed Sept. 10, but Ponticello picked up 56 votes through absentee ballots and King got only 22. The combined total favored King, 457-428.

Official results for other Sept. 10 primary voting, as reported by the Board of Elections, are as follows:

• Gloversville mayor Conservative primary: Dayton J. King 21, James E. Handy 6

• Broadalbin town supervisor Republican primary: Thomas Christopher 292, Joseph C. DiGiacomo 179

• Broadalbin Town Board Republican primary (two seats): Larry Ruzycky 285, Tina Winney 206, Kimberly A. Verrego 192, Drew C. Thompson 166

• Caroga Town Board Republican primary: Anthony J. Sturchio 134, John L. Glenn 92, Tara L. Kaczor 86, Anthony Russitano 82

• Johnstown mayor Republican primary: Scott Jeffers 330, Helen Martin 250, Larry Razzano 145

• Johnstown Town Board Republican primary (two seats): Walter T. Lane 136, James Westover 135, Clarinda L. Bellen 130

• Mayfield Town Board Republican primary (two seats): Steven D. VanAllen 135, Vince Coletti 133, Jack E. Putman 100

• Northampton town supervisor Republican primary: James K. Groff 229, Linda Kemper 100
