— A New York medical school is honoring individuals who donated their bodies for the education and training of future health care professionals.

Students and faculty at the Albany Medical College plan to gather for a memorial ceremony Monday morning for 335 people who died and left their bodies to the college's anatomical gift program for medical education.

Family members of donors plan to attend the ceremony, which is being held at the Albany Rural Cemetery.

The college calls the donation of a body a "unique and priceless gift" that provides medical students with an invaluable opportunity to learn human anatomy.
