Police search for suspect in Troy bank robbery

— Police are searching for a man who robbed a First Niagara Bank in Troy this morning, according to a news release issued today.

The robbery occurred around 11:13 a.m. when a white man in a black North Face jacket, gray hoodie, dark cap and tan pants walked into the bank at 33 Third St., approached a teller and demanded cash. He did not display a weapon.

The teller handed over an undetermined amount of cash and the man fled on foot out a door on the Broadway side of the bank.

Anyone with information is urged to call Troy detectives at 270-4426 or 911.
