The fire that completely destroyed Burnt Hills Lanes over the weekend was a major blow to Capital Region bowling, especially the Scaccia family and the Schen­ectady Bowling Association. The Scaccias bought Burnt Hills Lanes in 2010 and put a lot of money into its renovation, including new synthetic lanes and an upgraded scoring system.
