Elmer Ave. teacher, Michael Sheridan uses a Class Dojo,(in hand) a behavior program that makes sounds (upbeat and downbeat) when kids win/lose points. He strolls around the room, helping kids, and taps his iPhone to give/take points as he does so. The kids' reaction is pretty great -- they all look around to see who lost a point and then they all seem to focus in on their work a little more. Here he works on mathmatics problems with 6th grader Jude Bellot on Friday afternoon. Sheridan takes advantage of innovative uses of technology -- he tweets and texts with his students at night to help them with their homework, and makes mini lesson videos that they can watch at home.
