Winter fans are on the lookout for snow in the Capital Region this year. Winter fan Laurie Fregeau built a lookout from snow in Saratoga Springs in 1988.
Fregeau and her friends Paul Komar and Mike Komar built a frozen lighthouse during Saratoga’s Winter Frolic. The cool construct won first prize in a snow-sculpting contest.
There were other things to do in the Saratoga Spa State Park. Meanwhile, In Albany, the annual Lions Club Winter Carnival attracted bunches of people to Washington Park. Meredith Wyche of Ravena was one of them -- bowling on ice.
