Drop Pardon My Planet. Worse comic ever

Niether of the proposed comics seems particularly funny. If I had to pick, I would go for Arctic Circle, but, I didn't vote for either.

Neither strip seems to have merit. Both would degrade your comics page.

Neither comic strip proposed is worth the space. How about adding "For Better or For Worse" by Lynn Johnson....? I've followed it for years and now that I'm back in NY I see it online every day. As for a strip to delete....LIO is the dumbest "comic" strip I've ever read......so I don't read it. I'd dump that one in a heartbeat.

Neither comic strips are any good. They both are terrible and they are not funny. If the comic strips were to replace Rex, Judge, or Pardon My Planet it would be alright. But since they are not, neither should be added!

Please lose Gasoline Alley,Lio, Rex Morgan, Pardon My Planet, and Tina. Just a waste of space.

These two new choices are the most unfunny, selections i have ever seen. although I am not a fan of some of the strips you are offering to remove, your two new selections are two that I would never read (even with a gun to my head!).

Rather then the ones suggested for elimination, my vote goes to Lio and Pooch Cafe.

I can't believe you're considering dropping quality strips like Shoe or Mother Goose for the two lame cartoons proposed. I suspect money is the problem here, so why not drop the truly bad 'comics' (Lilo, Rex Morgan, Pooch Cafe & Tina) and not bother to add inferior work? You shouldn't pay for junk just to fill the page!

I agree with Ishaw... I really like Get Fuzzy. Not sure if Times Union has dibs on it, but I know people who buy the TU specifically for that one comic. Might be worth looking into.

Both of your proposed strips are terrible! I'd rather you kept the current strips than add either of these losers.

Both new strips look lame. I can't vote for either. But I have a list of tossables: Gas Alley, Agnes, Rex Morgan, Lio, Pooch Cafe, Peanuts.

Lame is the right word for new comics. Also, I'm astonished that Agnes did not make the drop list; it is so depressing that a spot on the Obituary page may be more befitting. Please give use some decent choices next time you do a poll.

Neither of your proposed additions are acceptable. They both offer limited scope of subject matter, and show little or no entertainment value.

The last two that you added were not very good choices either. If you need to eliminate a few I would nominate 'Pooch Cafe' and 'Lio' followed by 'Agnes', 'Judge Parker', and 'Rex Morgan'.

If you are to offer different comics I suggest 'Hi and Lois', 'Blondie', and 'Hagar the Horrible'.

Why are we not dumping Lio, which I feel only a handful of your readers are actually able to identify with? Pooch Cafe has proven awful, and does anyone still actually read these antiquated soap opera comics? Instead you're looking to shed Peanuts, which while somewhat old fashioned is nothing short of an American institution. Disappointing choices all the way around.

I did not find either new comic strip choices very funny and would not read them. I occasionally read Mother Goose and Grimm, and Shoe, but seldom read Peanuts. I always read Gasoline Alley and have been doing so for at least the last 50 years. It is one of the few remaining old comics. I would seriously consider dropping the Gazette if it is removed. Bring back some of the older funny comics such as HI & Lois, Archie, or Beetle Baily. If you must get rid of an old staple, get rid of Judge Parker or Rex Morgen.

Either of these proposed strips would be suitable to replace Gasoline Alley which clearly has given up the ghost. Let it go. It stopped being funny or at all interesting years ago. I also think Tina (added pretty recently) was a poor choice. She's not interesting, funny or memorable. Consider Pearls Before Swine or For Better or Worse. These are quality comics.

I'll add my voice to the growing consensus- neither of the two proposed comics is particularly good and certainly not worthy replacements for Shoe, Peanuts or Mother Goose. Gasoline Alley can go as can Rose is Rose and Pooch Cafe. Although many clamor for the removal of Lio, I'm glad it's being kept. At first it struck me as incredibly stupid and uninteresting; but, its whimsy has grown on me.

Count me among the numbers who do not find either of the two proposed replacements all that entertaining. I vote to get rid of both of the proposed new comics.

Both are just plain awful. Additionally, Agnes, Tina's Groove and Pooch Cafe are pretty bad too. I've tried to read each, but they're just not funny, nor worth the time to read.

Are you looking for change or are the readers? Change is inevitable but to change to either of your proposals is change for the worse. Neither are funny or entertaining. I know that there are better comics out there. Try again.

This is buckster wife which I have a different opinion. Both comics are the worse yet. who reads rex morgan, gasoline alley or judge parker. Please bring back broom hilda. And get rid of lilo.

Didn't vote as neither are as good or better than anything currently on the page. Plus there are a couple that are worse than those proposed for elimination. I like some of the older comics that others don't like Rex and Judge Parker, But Lilo or Pooch Cafe could go. I think most of the comments wanting broom hilda, Blondie, Hi and Lois, Beetle Baily, Hagar and Get Fuzzy. I could live without Lilo, Pooch Cafe, Tina's Groove and Agnes.

Neither of these is worthy of space in the paper, and your poll is rendered next to worthless due to your omission of a "Neither of the Above" option.

if i had to pick it would be Arctic Circle only if i had to chosse keep the comics the same
