At a cost to who? I really don't understand why corporate greed needs to be paid for by the tax payers. They were not thinking of us while sitting in their million dollar homes, vacationing in the most beautiful parts of the world, enjoying top notch medical care, sending their kids to Ivy League schools, etc. etc. etc. I am not real interested in my tax dollars being spent on welfare for the rich so that they can maintain their life style. I understand that the entire system is at stake so people are scared, however sometimes that bubble needs to burst in order to make a new and improved system.

Ahhhhhh Thanks Superdave! It goes to show that if we (2 people with very different views on a lot of subjects) are able to agree this bailout is a huge mistake then the people on the top KNOW that it is a huge mistake as well!
I have to keep wondering why in this economy, where the people are so financially overburdened, would our government (for the people, by the people) add a 300 Billion dollar bill to our ever increasing debt in order to bail out companies that were purposely frauding the tax payers out of their money to begin with! What a win-win for these companies!
