The lack of snow on the ground now and warmer temps could cost us dearly later this summer with extremely low water, water restrictions, burnt lawns, etc. It's probably a cyclical thing, but don't be surprised if some canals and lakes are closed due to water draw-down. I'd prefer a nice heavy snowpack that can melt slowly into the ground and fill reservoirs over time versus getting multiple heavy rainstorms to replenish our water supplies and much of that rainwater runs off as well. I like warm weather as much as anyone, but a cold winter is just part of the normal season here and when it doesn't occur, its going to affect us somewhere else.

I'd like a nice Public Sector job with all the bennies and a golden retirement...I have a better chance in getting that than changing the weather...I am not holding my breath.
