The fewer pesticides you ingest, the better you'll be.

In season I eat only local fruit and veggies...when the season is over it's backed to the canned stuff. The canning process kills off all of the pesticides, however, I think it also kills off most of the nutritional benefits.
So far, no scurvy though....
