Cari joined the Gazette as the Clifton Park reporter after 15 years as a freelance writer and reporter in the area. Born and raised locally, Cari worked for Cuyler News Service at the state capital after graduating from the College of St. Rose. Cari has written for a variety of local and regional publications, including Saratoga County Living, Empire State Report, and Northeast Traveler for the Times Union. She covered various Saratoga County beats for The Saratogian for 12 years, and most recently worked for Spotlight Newspapers covering Ballston Spa, Milton and Malta. She has written on topics ranging from pumpkin catapulting and Oreo stacking to chasing bats out of belfries in the most humane manner. During the early lives of her three kids, Cari wrote newspaper columns chronicling their first steps, first words, and first loves. Her children now deny being related to her in any way, but just so you know, their names are Sasha, Ryan and Nick.
