Catharine is a copy editor/paginator for The Daily Gazette, ensuring accuracy in stories published. She started her career in the U.S. Air Force in 2000 as a writer for the The Airlifter at Dover Air Force Base, Del. Within two years, she was named editor for the paper and a year later received a job working for Air Force News Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. There, she served as the news online assistant editor. During her time in the service, Catharine also wrote stories from Aviano, Italy, as well as Kabul, Afghanistan. After six years on active duty, she transferred to the New York Air National Guard, and now works part-time at Stratton Air National Guard Base, putting together the base's magazine, The Skibird.
