Biography:

Jim covers a variety of beats, including football, volleyball, swimming, field hockey, basketball, baseball, lacrosse and softball, and has covered the summer Empire State Games since 1987. He attended Guilderland High School before completing his education at Morrisville College and SUNY Oswego, majoring in Journalism Technology and Communications. He served as a disc jockey and station manager at the Morrisville's radio station and a sportswriter and later sports editor for Oswego's newspaper. He joined Gazette shortly after college as a clerk and began covering high school sports regularly in 1988. Jim is married and has no children, but four cats. He enjoys painting in his free time.
