Mike joined The Gazette in 2001. He covered Scotia-Glenville initially and took over the county government beat four years ago. In 2006, Mike earned an honorable mention in the New York State Associated Press writing contest and shared a first-place award with The Gazette staff for coverage of flooding in the county. He has three children and four dogs and lives in the country.
