biography
Patrick was born and raised in New Haven, Conn., and moved to Albany to study journalism and art at the University at Albany six years ago. There he was involved with the photography club, yearbook, student newspaper, and student radio station. He held internships at Freedom from Hunger in Bolivia, the Berkshire Eagle, the Albany Times Union, and has freelanced for various blogs, national and international newspapers and magazines, and worked briefly as an internet marketing specialist after college. He has won various awards for his photojournalism work, including a first place feature photo award from the New England Press Association’s yearly awards in 2008. Patrick started working for the Daily Gazette in June 2011.
