i am SO sick of hick joe sullivan's crap. why are you listening to that man? he's insane. he's got a problem with everything including our new president-ridiculous. you don't like here in the US then do us a favor and move to Canada and then you can start your own column there that no one here will have to read and you can rant and rave as wish there. you remind me of that preacher that no one wants to listen to when they say we're all going to hell. i'm not going to be really mean here and not say the typical following statement, but rather beg mr. sullivan to stop bombarding the capital region residents with his information. you are one opinion. if you care so much to report on things, do it fairly and go into the reporting profession if you're that ambitious.
I've said this to CBS 6 now I'm telling you. Some of your information is wrong. Anything taken from CBS 6 is wrong including the address to the office...British American Boulevard is in Latham not Colonie. Second, CBS 6 cannot estimate the amount of layoffs- that in a sense erases the comment made by the spokeswoman for Ayco stating she can't give the exact number in layoffs. What CBS 6 did is wrong by speculating. And it's even worse that you didn't check these facts and now you're publishing them. I personally know someone who works with the company and this is how I know. CBS 6 is also wrong in saying that employees' names were called through the PA system as they were laid off. No company would ever do such a thing. Really, guys... does no one believe in fact checking anymore?
This is an accurate article with real factual information compared to the Times Union. You also didn't intrude like they did as far as taking pictures of the family sitting in the front pews. Thank you for showing your compassion in that way.
This article is incorrect on so many levels. I suggest you talk to family and friends not just random Guyanese of the community. They don't know what they are talking about.
I would like to point out that I didn't mean to offend the native country of Guyana...I wanted to make a point that based on what I've heard and know, it is a country filled with crimes that are hardly ever solved and the committers usually get away with it. That is far worse than what we are dealing with in Schenectady and Albany and Troy and all the local cities. Violence has increased yes, but is this a random act of violence or INTENTIONAL attack? That is what your job as the MEDIA is to find out....bring this case to a closure.
I also want to reprimand Paul of Schenectady. How ruthless and demeaning of you to say that! You are the reason why our country to this day in 2008 still has racist people. If any type of violence should be blamed, it should be on people like YOU. You PEOPLE can't GET that communities are diversing. You are NOT holier than thou with your race or class. Everyone who comes to the US is usually looking for more opportunities. Perhaps you should be thrown into the country of Guyana or some desolate country to live there and see what it is like. If you don't know about it, I suggest you keep quiet about things you don't know.
