Uhm excuse me "Get_Involved" I see your point. However I have no sympathy for the Superintendent at all! HE WONT HAVE A BUDGET IF THERE ARE'NT ANY STUDENTS LEFT....Better late than not all. True. But damn it they are late....for four students TOO LATE.
FYI: not all parents are deadbeats.

I have a seventeen year old son that has NO felonies, no baggy pants hanging off his behind, respectful towards me and all the women around him. A decent student. I have not had to spank him in at least 7 years. My daughter, 14 she is ambitious about the future respectful towards others and values hardwork. All this from a single mother who got spankings as a kid. And who also dealt spankings to my kids. Please if there is ever a time when my children deviate from the wholesome values that i instilled in them guess what? Robert Carney is going to lock me up. And I will gladly do the time for doing what is right for my children.

Things are so different now. I am still from the old school. I have had three "butt-whoopings" in my life. As a parent now. I am so thankful for the "rod" it was the greatest deterent. I learned to respect my elders. Not out of fear either. I learned to not take things that do not belong to me. It certainly did not make me violent or a criminal. If you people continue you believe that, that Dr Phil time out stuff is going to work on each and every child, than there is a cell waiting for your children. Or a child that was never spanked will harm you or your family. The first thing you would say is his parents should spank him or he should be in jail. Some of you are never satisfied and will condemn a child before they even get a chance to prove themselves. I find it absolutely ridiculous how Robert Carney will actually prosecute this "active" father. But still wont prosecute the people that MURDERED MY SISTER. With all the over time the SPD had last year surely they have new leads? THIS CITY IS A JOKE. IT IS THE HOTBED OF CORRUPTION AND AN AXIS OF EVIL. Right here in upstate NY.

On 6 Schenectady students arrested after brawl

I can feel the condescendance oozing out of this story. These are serious, and horrific instances. Well for lack of better words, you did make this a juicy tale of urban woe. However, it is disgusting piece. Oh what piece? No pertainant story on the suicides Just the exploitation of the deviance. Since you have everyone's attention. Now, will you donate to the filthy city of Schenectady? to help build a safe place for these teens to go? Prior to these desparate acts. Alot of parents are involved and work very hard to do the right thing. There are too many dynamics to the situations that occur here to explain in one comment or whatever they teach in a sociology/pyschology textbook. More than most can fathom in a nightmare, muchless walk a mile in some of these "Air Jordan's". Please I ask you, to shove your cameras in the faces of public officials that sweep the scandal and atrocities under the "immoral" rug? Hopefully, that will evoke prompter services and a better connection with the urban situation in a city so small with so many young inexperienced, and tender lives at risk. The publicity would actually save lives instead of minimize this issue because of economic indifference. Then we can clean the streets. The school district is morally incorrect and quick to give up on our children and dont do anything to keep help active parents keep them there. It is only after it was reported did they show such interest in the grievance of these poor children. This is beyond "Smells like teen spirit" SENDING AND SOS SAVE THESE BABIES DONT CONDEMN THEM!!! LET US PRAY

Wow...good for you Amy..You are more man than Robert Carney! Great you told the truth. Finally a morally sound prosecutor...too bad they will ruin her for not joining forces with the "racist coalition" in schenectady government. Kudos Amy....Kudos
