We had one of our credit cards used 6 times by an unknown party totalling aprox $1000 of fraudulent usage, mostly out-of-state, though we always had the credit card in-hand and did not travel out of state during the period in question. 3 other credit cards which we used at Hannaford's do not yet show any unauthorized activity. We only found out about this situation because the credit card ( bank ) phoned us to verify two purchases. I believe that the unaurthorized usage is much wider than your paper has noted.
