dan - She didn't say the restaurant had been open six years, but that she was a server there for that many years.

Big news, right? So Price Chopper has made some progress toward following what is already in Shop Rite. Now if Price Chopper lowers their across-the-board, high prices, they'll be even closer.

Personally, I'm fine with the name and hate to see them bow to overly sensitive PC police. But for the sake of smart business sense, they should change the name. But I wouldn't go too far from their identity. Maybe "The Wanderer".

In most cookbooks you won't find "Corned Beef and Cabbage", but instead, "New England Boiled Dinner". Near the end, you mention how easy it is to just throw the corned beef and cabbage wedges in the pot, but if you put the cabbage in at the same time as the brisket, you won't have any cabbage left after a couple hours of cooking. Put the cabbage in last of all the ingredients...maybe 30 minutes before it's all finished.

Thanks for a good article.

Hard to believe this "mother" when she says she spent ten minutes trying to stop the strippers. It shouldn't take more than about 45 seconds to put an end to a few lap dancer. Bottom line is this mother - I use the word, mother, loosely - hired strippers for her son's 16th birthday party.

skody54 - Not sure you should be blaming George personally for what the legislature did. Also, be careful what you wish for, and be prepared to open your wallet, since for some reason democrats find ways to spend our money...

Snowgrinch - While it's true that the divorce rate per capita is higher in Red states, it's also true that the marriage rate is higher in those states. It follows that the divorce rate is not going to be high in Blue states where more couples live together and do not marry.

zelasko - I'm pretty good at unraveling puzzles into plain English, but not this one. Maybe you'll be kind enough to interpret this.

"Pasta Heads" = ?
"fake Republicans" = ?

I saw the Stones in 1979, and they were on the other side of their best years then. They are a joke now, but still these senior citizens can draw sold-out arenas. Amazing.

Irv - Sure did enjoy your recounting this great Thanksgiving memory. What a great way to share the family table year after year.
