Thanks for that photo gallery -- my father is one of the boys in the group shot on the staircase. We don't have any other photos of him at that age, and it's great to find one.
As a bicyclist, there is NOTHING better than these roundabouts for safely getting through what had been highly trafficked, dangerous intersections. The roundabouts lower speed, create predictability and limit surprises, and make it far easier for a cyclist to safely coexist with traffic.
