Weibel Avenue project includes retail and apartments
More than 100 apartment and retail space for an art gallery, bakery and real estate office are being proposed for a construction project a 72/74 Weibel Avenue.
The project would have 120 apartments, 180 parking spots and first floor retail space of about 86,000 square feet. The project would include a village green.
This proposal is scheduled to be considered at tonight's meeting of the Design Review Commission.
According to paperwork filed with the city, the retail space would be a maximum of 12,500 square feet for 10 different businesses. The building would have a total of four floors.

The design was prepared by the LA group and the owner of the property is Standish LLC, which bought the property two years ago for $1.5 million.
