SPAC has 4 summer internship slots available
The Saratoga Performing Arts Center is again accepting resumes from undergraduate students and recent graduates for its summer internship program.
The program is intensive and highly competitive with only four slots available, three of them paid and one unpaid.
Past interns have utilized their experience to move into careers and high-profile organizations including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Boston Symphony Orchestra, Random House Children’s Books, Ralph Lauren, Emma Willard School, LEGO Systems, Inc., and MTV Networks.
“We provide our interns with the opportunity to work in several different facets of the organization, resulting in a very valuable ‘hands on’ experience,” said Marcia White, SPAC’s president and executive director, in a prepared statement.
SPAC officials are looking for hard-working, highly motivated individuals interested in business, journalism, marketing and arts industries. Marketing interns, for example, become integral members of our staff, directly involved in the following: communicating with the general public face to face, over the phone, and via email, writing letters and press releases, and cultivating and maintaining partnerships with local businesses, corporate sponsors and individual donors.
SPAC is also looking for a graphic design and photography intern who will be directly involved in photographing the summer events, designing and producing advertising materials and promotional pieces, including SPAC’s season program, brochures, posters, display boards, web banners, and other materials.
Those interested — with qualifications that are suited for the internship program — can send their resume and cover letter to Mary Jane Sweetland at email@example.com by March 15.
