Round Lake looking for library trustee

Round Lake is looking for new volunteer library trustees.

The Town of Malta is accepting applications from volunteers willing to serve as an associate library trustee on the Round Lake Library Board of Trustees. There was a recent mass exodus from the board due to the firing of an employee, which was reversed following an outcry from the community.

No applications had been submitted as of Monday night, according to town Supervisor Paul Sausville.

Anyone interested in applying should submit a cover letter and resume by July 12 to Sausville at supervisor@malta-town.org or by mail to 2540 Route 9, Malta, New York 12020.

The board meets monthly and members are involved in all library operations and budgeting.
