Democrats may have supervisor candidate

Acting Saratoga County Clerk Peter Martin could be a Democratic candidate for the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors.

Earlier this week, Martin had an endorsement interview with the Saratoga Springs Democratic Committee, according to committee Chairman Charles Brown.

"However he has yet to tell us that he is, in fact, going to run for that position," Brown added.

The only announced candidates for the board of supervisors from Saratoga Springs are incumbent Matt Veitch, a Republican, and Ken Ivins, also a Republican.

The city's other incumbent supervisor, Joanne Yepsen, a Democrat, is running for mayor.

The Saratoga Springs Democratic Committee will endorse its slate of candidates on Saturday.
