Traffic alert for Saratoga Springs on Sunday

Traffic will be disrupted on Sunday morning by a half marathon race in Saratoga Springs.

The police department has issued a traffic advisory in advance of the Melanie O’Donnell Memorial Race, which started at 7:30 a.m. on Broadway in front of City Hall. Delays are expected until 11 a.m.

Below is the advisory.

There will be a 5K race and Half Marathon starting on Broadway (in front of City Hall) starting at 7:30am on Sunday 9/15/13. Please note the following for NON-EMERGENCY TRAFFIC:
There will be traffic delays in crossing Broadway from approximately 7:30am - 8:30am while runners are running southbound Broadway
There will be a traffic detour on Lake Ave (from Circular St to Broadway) from 7:30am –approximately 11:00am:
Westbound Traffic coming from the east should follow detour signage : right onto East Ave- left onto Rt50 Arterial - south on Rt50 Arterial bringing traffic back to Broadway
Eastbound Traffic coming from the west should use: Broadway to Rt50 Arterial –right onto East Ave – to left onto Lake Ave (Rt29E)

South Broadway (State Rt 9) from West Fenlon St to Crescent Ave will be closed to thru traffic (7:30am –approximately 10:30am)

Please Note that:
EMERGENCY VEHICLES OPERATING IN EMERGENCY MODE WILL BE ALLOWED NORMAL LAKE AVE ACCESS AND SOUTH BROADWAY ACCESS AND NO DELAYS IN CROSSING BROADWAY
