Schools planning Tax Cap overrides

Only a handful of school districts in the Capital Region will try to override the tax cap, according to the latest data filed with the state Comptroller's Office.

The Niskayuna School District, Northville School District and Edinburg School District are the three districts in the Gazette's coverage area that plan on presenting budgets that increase taxes above the property tax cap.

A list of the school district's in the Gazette coverage area is available below.

Niskayuna is planning a $76.3 million budget with a 5.76 percent tax levy increase.
