Clean audit for Mohonasen School District
The Mohonasen Central School District received a clean audit from the New York State Comptroller’s Office regarding its handling of expense claims.
The audit found that the district had adequate oversight of cash receipts, disbursements, purchasing, payroll, personnel services and information technology.
A copy of the audit is available below.
Forty claims totaling $176,364 were randomly selected for the period from July 1, 2011 to Oct. 31, 2012. Auditors found that the district had the proper documentation, authorization and itemization of the goods or services and accompanying receipts, according to the report.
“All claims reviewed were for a legitimate district purpose and were properly audited in a timely manner and in compliance with district policy and education law,” the audit said.
