More aid than expected for Shenendehowa
The Shenenehowa School District is receiving more state aid than originally anticipated in a recent budget presentation.
Finalized state school runs give the district $39.3 million in aid, which is about $1.7 million more than the district anticipated in a budget presentation from two weeks ago. A full copy of the budget presentation is available below.
A major portion of the difference stems from a change in the Gap Elimination Adjustment, which is about $1.7 million different than what was expected. Instead of about $6.76 million in state aid yanked back by the state, only $5.02 million will be taken back to help balance New York's budget.
