Richmondville didn't monitor costs

The Village of Richmondville didn't adequately check expenses, according to an audit from the New York State Comptroller's Office.

The audit, which is available below, said that 447 checks, totalling $325,000, were inappropriately paid prior to board audit. Additionally, the audit alleged that all employees had incorrect amounts withheld for health insurance.
