UPDATE: State school aid figures

Gov. Andrew Cuomo is seeking a 4.4 percent increase in total school aid.
Total school aid is proposed at $21.1 billion, and $889 million increase. That total includes $203 million to help districts to deal with escalating costs in pensions and health insurance and $75 million in grants for his proposals like extended learning time and pre-kindergarten.
