State Senate's report on Higher Education

New York's higher education institutions face continuous challenges and remain a valuable asset, according to a state Senate report released today.

The state's colleges continue to stand for high quality standards and help economic development, said Republican state Sen. Ken LaValle, chairman of the Senate's higher education committee, in hist statement unveiling the committee's legislative report for 2012. That report is available below.

"I want to thank the committee members for their continued support and commitment throughout the 2012 legislative session," he said in his statement. "I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues on the committee and in the entire Senate as we strive to make New York State higher education the best in the world."
