Lifetime movie gets green light

By David Lombardo
Thursday, March 21, 2013

A state appeals court has signaled the Lifetime Network can go ahead with plans to air a movie Chris Porco on Saturday.

The court order is available below.

The movie's premier was in doubt as of yesterday. Porco, who is in prison for the murder of his father and attempted murder of his mother, got a court to order a temporary injunction on Tuesday against Lifetime.

A justice from the state Appellate Division's Third Department in Albany stayed the temporary injunction. Porco's only recourse to prevent the scheduled airing is an appeal to the state's highest court.
