Public relations firm agrees to settlement with JCOPE
Mercury Public Affairs has paid a $20,000 fine for failing to file and for submitting incomplete and inaccurate filings over the last two years, according to a news release from the Joint Commission on Public Ethics.
The fine was reached as part of a settlement that ended the investigation, which began when Mercury reported an error with their filings.
A copy of the settlement is available below.
The missing and inaccurate filings from Mercury dealt with its role as a retained lobbyist, a lobbying client and as a lobbyist on its own behalf. According to the release, Mercury has corrected its filings.
