Labor endorsements in Montgomery and Schenectady counties
The Schenectady Area Labor Council, AFL-CIO, has endorsed its first round of political endorsement in Schenectady and Montgomery counties.
The endorsements, which are the culmination of process that spanned several months, include candidates in races for the Schenectady City Council, Scheenctady County Legislature and Montgomery County Executive.
"This election cycle, we received more requests from candidates interested in our endorsement than in recent memory," said SALC President Frank Natalie in a statement. "This attests to the great collaboration and solidarity we share among our affiliates consisting of the public, private, and building trades unions. We are truly one in our fight to improve the lives of all our members and all working people throughout our region."
Below is the full list of endorsements.
Natalie added, "We're looking forward to hitting the streets for our endorsed working class champions."
According to a release, SALC is comprised of over four-dozen affiliated unions and represents more than 30,000 members and their families in Schenectady, Schoharie, Fulton and Montgomery counties.
