Pesonen returning to Albany, NJ acquires D'Agostini

The New Jersey Devils announced on Friday they had traded for Matt D'Agostini, sending a conditional fifth-round draft pick in the 2015 draft to St. Louis to acquire the forward and a conditional seventh-round pick, also in the 2015 draft.

Also, New Jersey reassigned winger Harri Pesonen to the Albany Devils of the AHL.

D'Agostini has a goal and an assist in 16 games with the Blues this season. Now in his fifth NHL season, D'Agostini has 45 goals and 46 assists in 254 NHL games.

Pesonen has played three games with New Jersey this season. With Albany, he has 11 goals and 14 assists in 54 games this season.

Pesonen will be a welcome addition to the Albany lineup for the weekend. The AHL club had just one healthy scratch at forward and one at defenseman before his reassignment.
