Watching the game

A friendly crowd of Great Danes supporters could be right around the corner on Friday.

If you're looking to catch the University of Albany men's basketball team take on Duke in the NCAA Tournament, you have a variety of options.

For a viewing party in the Capital Region, head to the Across the Street Pub in Albany, for a group organized by the UAlbany Alumni Association. The group has also set up viewing parties in New York City, New Orleans and Washington D.C.

There will also be communal viewing at the college's campus center, where televisions will be tuned into the CBS broadcast.

But don't fret if you can't make it to the Albany viewing party, because every bar in the Capital Region should be hopping during the lunchtime broadcast of this game.

For some people, like Albany Mayor Gerald Jennings, watching the game can be a hassle because of work. ""I'm gonna try and move some things around in my schedule," he said in a phone interview on Thursday.

If you're stuck at a computer, the games can be watched on the CBS Sports website.

For fans of Twitter, information can be consumed by reading tweets from people at the game. Follow @poozer87 on @patrickdodson for updates from the @UAlbany bus, which leaves for Philadelphia at 6 a.m.
