Corn Festival this weekend

The Capital District Farmers Market in Menands is hosting its third-annual Corn Festival, a celebration of one of July’s most beloved crops.

The rain-or-shine event, which will run from 8 a.m.to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, will feature free corn on the cob provided by local farmers, fire truck rides provided by the Menands Volunteer Fire Department and a hay maze. Corn chowder will also be available.

Like every Saturday at the market, farmers will be selling seasonal local vegetables, plants and flowers. Other vendors will have fresh baked goods, homemade preserves, honey, maple syrup, cheeses, arts and crafts and more.

The farmers market is located at 381 Broadway in Menands (Route 32, just south of Route 378).
