NFL Wild Card Picks
Well, my obnoxious friend from high school crushed me in Pigskin Pick’em this year, but I’m not going to let it get me down. Here are my wild card picks. As always, the winning team is in caps.
Cincinnati at HOUSTON — Since playing the Patriots, the Texans have been in a bit of a downward spiral, but they should be able to fend off the Bengals at home. However, I would love to see Cincinnati’s red-headed quarterback advance in the playoffs.
Minnesota at GREEN BAY — The Vikings are one of those teams that was lucky to make it to the playoffs. They’ll need more than luck to beat the Packers.
INDIANAPOLIS at Baltimore — OK, this is my upset pick. The Colts have been on a major roll, while the Ravens have been in something of a slump. Since I don’t really like the Ravens, and don’t want them to win, I’m going to stick with the Colts and their amazing rookie.
Seattle at WASHINGTON — This is easily the most intriguing match-up of the week, pitting two tough-minded and talented rookie quarterbacks, the Seahawks’ Russell Wilson and the Redskins’ Robert Griffin III, against each other. I’m taking the Redskins because they are at home, and also because Robert Griffin III is awesome.
For the record, here are our final Pigskin Pick’em scores.
My obnoxious friend: 172-83
