Well, this helicopter kid is flying high again. My phone is back in my hands.

It’s actually a very strange story: My phone somehow got mixed up with my roommate’s laundry. Even more bizarre, she brought it down to the laundry room with her dirty clothes and managed not to wash it. Someone found it in the laundry room and handed it in. The whole thing was resolved in under 24 hours.

Anyway, I thought I’d use this post to say thank you to everyone who does the right thing, especially when it would be easier not to. So, thank you!

Moving on, last night I went Scottish country dancing. It was so much fun. I’m neither coordinated nor rhythmic, and I was still able to dance in the group dances. I’m a convert. According to the Boston branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, a class is held Mondays at 7:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army in Schenectady. I’d suggest calling before you go, but you should definitely try it. It’s loads of fun.

I’ve been doing some thinking about this blog lately, and I’m concerned that since I went to college I’ve “jumped the shark.” For those of you who are not up on TV lingo, “jump the shark” is defined by urbandictionary.com as “a term to describe a moment when something that was once great has reached a point where it will now decline in quality and popularity.” The phrase originates from the “Happy Days” episode when Fonzie jumps over a shark on water skis.

Quite honestly, I don’t know that this blog has ever been that popular, but I like to think it has been quality. So, I’m trying to bring back quality posts. But I’d like to know if you have any suggestions for me.
