Saratoga races TV schedule

Three days of the Saratoga meet will be televised this summer, it was announced Monday.

ABC will broadcast the Whitney, Go for Wand, Diana and Alfred G. Vanderbilt at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 26. These races are part Breeders’ Cup Challenge series. The winner of the races automatically qualifies for the Breeders’ Cup.

On Saturday, Aug. 2, ESPN will televise the Darley Test at 5 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 23, is Travers day on ESPN. Besides the Travers Stakes, ESPN will broadcast the King’s Bishop and Bernard Baruch.

The Associated Press is reporting that former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan will be named to NFL on Fox studio show on Tuesday.

Fox has scheduled a conference call for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. It was termed "urgent."
