Union recruit update: Johnston, Humboldt ousted in Royal Bank Cup

The season is over for Union recruit Andrew Johnston and his Humboldt Broncos.

Ben MacSwain scored 35 seconds into sudden-death overtime Saturday, lifting the Woodstock Slammers to a 4-3 victory over the Broncos in the Royal Bank Cup semifinal in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

Johnston had two assists in the game for the Broncos, who were 4-0 in the preliminary round.
