Report: Sharks looking at Union's Grosenick

By Ken Schott
Friday, April 5, 2013

Elliotte Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada is reporting that the San Jose Sharks are going after Union junior goalie Troy Grosenick.

A Union spokesman decline comment on the report. Dutchmen coach Rick Bennett is out of town an unavailable for comment.

Grosenick posted a 17-10-5 record this season with a 2.12 goals-against average, a .926 save percentage and two shutouts.

He won the Ken Dryden Award as the ECAC Hockey goalie of the year last season.

If the Sharks sign Grosenick, he would be the second Union player to do so. Forward T.J. Fox signed with the Sharks following his sophomore year in 2006-07.
