Super Bowl ratings update: CBS gets 46.3 rating

The rating for Sunday night's Super Bowl XLVII have been updated by CBS Sports.

The Baltimore Ravens' 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers earned a 46.3 rating and 69 share. That's slightly down from last year's 47.0/71 for NBC's coverage of Super Bowl XLVI between the New York Giants and New England Patriots. However, it is the second highest-rated Super Bowl in 27 years. Super Bowl XX, between Chicago and New England, got a 48.3/70 Jan. 26, 1986.

The Ravens-49ers game drew an average of 108.41 million viewers, making it the third most-watched program in television history. Only last year's Super Bowl XLVI (111.3 million) and Super Bowl XLV (111.0 million) drew more.

The rating/share peaked at 50.7/73, with an average of 113.92 million viewers, from 10:30 to 10:47 p.m.
