NBC Sports executive producer Flood on Thursday's 'Slap Schotts'

NBC Sports Group executive producer Sam Flood will discuss the importance of college hockey to NBC Sports Network when he is the guest on the "Slap Schotts" college hockey segment at 11:05 a.m. Thursday on Rodger Wyland's "Big Board Sportstalk" on FOX Sports 980 (WOFX).

With NBCSN televising Friday's ECAC Hockey game between Dartmouth and Union at Messa Rink, Flood will talk about the network's second season of televising a weekly Friday night package, the challenges of setting up in college rinks that weren't built with TV in mind and his college hockey playing days at Williams College.

After the break, Wyland and I will look back at last Saturday's Mayor's Cup game between RPI and Union, and look ahead to this weekend's games.

Phone calls (518-690-0980) and e-mails (bigboard@wnyt.com or bigboard@foxsports980.com) are welcomed.
