Union hockey forward Tyson Fulton has left the program and will play college hockey at Division III St. John's (Minn.).

Fulton saw action in just three games during his two years with the Dutchmen, all during his freshman year. He had one penalty.

"The decision was mutual and we wish all the best to Tyson," Union coach Rick Bennett said in a statement.

Fulton, who is from Brooklyn Park, Minn., played for the Waterloo Black Hawks of the U.S. Hockey League in 2010-11 after winning a Minnesota state title at The Breck School. In 57 games for Waterloo, Fulton had 11 goals and 17 assists, leading the team with six power-play goals.

On his Twitter account, Fulton wrote, "It's sad to say goodbye to such a great place. The memories and friendships I made I will never forget Couldn't ask 4 a better group of guys."
