Roddick joins 'FOX Sports Live'
Former top-tanked tennis star Andy Roddick will join "FOX Sports Live" as a co-host of the sports news show when FOX Sports 1 debuts Aug. 17, FOX Sports announced Tuesday.
Roddick joins Jay Onrait and Dan O'Toole, previously announced as the primary highlight team, on the program.
“I was a tennis player for a long time, but I’ve been a sports fan a lot longer than that, and I am beyond excited to be joining 'FOX Sports Live,' being a part of television’s newest national sports network, FOX Sports 1,” Roddick said in a statement. “It has always been a dream of mine to pursue an opportunity like this after my playing career, and I am incredibly grateful to Eric [Shanks, FOX Sports co-president and chief operating officer], Scott [Ackerson, executive vice-president of studio production] and the entire FOX Sports 1 team for helping make this dream a reality. I can’t wait to get started.”
