Ex-Union center Welsh plays over 12 minutes for Canucks against Blues

Former Union College hockey center Jeremy Welsh continues to get more ice time for the Vancouver Canucks.

Welsh played a season-high 12:14 Friday in the Canucks' 3-2 overtime win over the St. Louis Blues. He had one shot on goal.

It was the third straight game that Welsh has played over 11 minutes. He 11:08 of ice time Tuesday against the New York Islanders, and 11:51 Thursday against the New Jersey Devils.

Welsh was recalled by the Canucks from the AHL's Utica Comets last Saturday.
