RPI hockey gets commitment from Alberni Valley (BCHL) defenseman Jared Wilson

The RPI hockey team has received a commitment for next season from 19-year-old defenseman Jared Wilson of the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, the British Columbia Hockey League team announced Friday.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Wilson led all BCHL rookie defensemen in scoring last season with with 10 goals and added 22 assists. Fourteen of Wilson’s 32 points came on the power play. He had a plus/minus rating of +6.

In five games this season, Wilson leads the team in scoring with two goals and four assists.

"Wilson came in to camp having worked very hard in the offseason, and it shows,” Bulldogs coach and general manager Kevin Willison said in a statement.
