Inauguration perversity
Wednesday, January 21, 2009

As for the presidential inauguration, I might not have gone to Proctors and watched it at all if only I had been notified in time, but alas, the notification arrived after the event.

It came from an outfit with which I was not previously acquainted, the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission, and it warned that “the inauguration events of Barack Obama will be the most perverse in Presidential history.”

What exactly was going to be perverse?

“America’s most radical homosexual minister, a homosexual choir and a homosexual marching band all are participating,” the commission warned.

Too late, I had already exposed myself, so to speak. Now I don’t know what to do short of immersing myself in the River Jordan to cleanse my soul.

In the interest of furthering my education, I did sneak a quick look at the commission’s Web site, and the feature that I liked best about it was the list of “7 Reasons Why Obama Is Not a Christian.”

This gave me hope for the next four years. I believe we are in for a bout of Obama-phobia on the part of that segment of the population I think of as the base which will make us forget all about Hillary-phobia. If I’m right, I am not going to lack for material.
