I visited Frank Duci, the former mayor of Schenectady, the other day, having learned that he has lung cancer, and I brought with me a little scrap of paper by way of a spoof. The paper was a will, written by me but in Frank’s name, leaving me all his worldly goods, closely patterned after a will that he himself wrote for a friend a few years ago when that friend was just hours away from death.
